Nice deal 5000 dollar at a secure loan rate of 9.9 percent

Posted in Getting Credit, Loans Portal, Online Finance by admin on the December 31st, 2008

Lots of of the merchant banks wil show you a interest rate that looks safe but feels bad or so after a while. At this present you can check into rates quickly online and discover if there are other sneaky conditions you should be aware of. 12.6 percent rate may come out so equitable but will it stay unremitting after you have to retort your deferred payment. Examine to see if the moneylender who wants to give you a credit loan is untrustworthy. That’s why now you need to check into and fancy if you can have a loan at a right percent rate of interest. You should be brilliant today to check up if you have a great deal or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a money loan. It doesn’t matter if you live in MountaView California or in Fresno California a estimable online examination will allay you often lots of discommode.

A merchant bank in Mesa Arizona or so may have a total totally different actual interest rate for a 22500 dollar loan then a bank in East Providence Rhode Island and that makes a huge clear gap in your yearly pay offs.

Head-set on Embarrassing Myself

Posted in Informationer by admin on the December 31st, 2008

My job is not stressful, I would say, just demanding. I answer the phone for a brokerage house on Wall Street. I enjoy my job, but I was having a problem keeping up with the volume of calls that come across my desk everyday. My supervisor noticed that I was having problems and suggested that they could provide me with a headset, if I thought it might help. I figured it would be worth a shot, so I asked for one. The day I got it, I was almost instantly in heaven. I had two hands free to write memorandums, input data, and handle the transfer of incoming calls. This headset was corded, but the cord to the phone was sufficiently long enough to not be in my way. My day flew by and I was impressed at how valuable a piece of equipment the headset had already become. It was lightweight, out of my face and easy to wear…so easy, in fact, that by the end of the first day, I forgot I had it on.

On the train ride home, I thought I noticed a few people staring at me. I chalked it up to paranoia and lost myself in a book I brought to read. I have a fairly long commute, so I am usually able to get in a few chapters on the way to my apartment. I normally find it easy to get absorbed into my reading, but today was different. I felt like all eyes were on me. By the time my stop came around, I was sufficiently creped out and ready to unwind in the comfort of my own home.

When I entered through the door to my apartment, my wife was in the kitchen. She came out to say “Hi” and started laughing at me. Of course, my reaction of, “What?” only made her laugh harder. She managed to control herself long enough to say, “Ground control to Major Tom…come in, Major Tom”. Then it hit me. I had been wearing this headset, with the cord dangling behind me into obscurity, the entire way home.

Get Stronger, Faster and Better by Training Right, Eating Well and Resting Up

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the December 30th, 2008

Copyright 2005 Joey Atlas

I rarely start an article with the conclusion at the beginning. But, for this specific topic I couldn’t write it any other way. So, here it is.

No magic pill, patented drink mix, sublingual tincture, trans-dermal patch, man made food bar, proprietary mineral blend, or secret capsule is capable of producing the results, or anything remotely close, that can be achieved through the proper strength and conditioning program combined with a smart, a realistic nutrition program and adequate rest.

As the father of an eight year old baseball, soccer and football player, I am often asked by other parents, “What products would you recommend for my son/daughter to help improve their sports performance?” The paragraph above is my answer, always.

It is no wonder why so many people believe that enhanced sports performance can come from a bottle at your local nutrition store. The advertising freedom that nutritional supplement marketers are given is an absolute joke. The flexibility they have allows them to prey on peoples weaknesses and exploit the fact that most people want to believe what they see and hear through advertisements.

The problem lies within the fact that even when following “the rules” nutritional supplement marketers can still cleverly craft unbelievably deceptive advertising campaigns and get away with it

Some supplement companies have attorneys on staff that specialize in making sure that the company they represent is not breaking any laws in its advertising campaigns. Some companies who cannot afford full time attorneys hire them as outside consultants to perform the same function. Their main job is to compare the proposed advertising campaign, whether it is a radio ad, a television ad, internet ad or print ad and make sure it complies with all rules and regulations put forth by the Federal Trade Commission and/or the Federal Communications Commission. Keep in mind these hired pros work for the company who pays them and not for you, the consumer.

Ponder this, the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act does not require manufacturers to report adverse reactions or side effects. Additionally, the sale of any supplement can only be prevented if the Food and Drug Administration can prove that the supplement is harmful. Amazing, isn’t it?

Despite the fact that supplement companies are restricted from making unproven or exaggerated claims, many are still able to get away with extremely deceptive advertising campaigns. Some companies are even so greedy that they completely disregard any of the industry rules and use outright lies in their marketing campaigns knowing that the regulatory agencies are overloaded and cannot catch every unscrupulous company. Even when caught, some of these companies have to pay a fine which usually only amounts to a small percentage of the profits it has taken in from its fraudulent marketing techniques. They are then ordered to clean up their marketing campaigns so they are in compliance with industry rules and are then allowed to continue selling their products.

So, what are a young athlete and/or parent to do, knowing that all of the outrageous claims by supplement companies are either false or grossly exaggerated?

Well, the answer is quite simple. Focus on what is proven, safe, realistic, and effective. Improving athletic performance boils down to three components:

1)A sound nutrition program constructed from whole, nutrient dense, readily available, preferably organic foods. For your specific needs it is best to consult with a sports conditioning specialist or a sports nutrition consultant. 2)A carefully designed and administered athletic strength & conditioning program. Several key factors will determine what the ideal training regimen for you should be. Again, it is best to consult with a sports conditioning specialist to determine your needs. 3)Adequate rest. Your body can only get stronger, faster, and better if you give it the proper amount of rest. During rest time your body releases hormones and chemicals to help you rebuild and recharge. Some of these substances interact with certain components of the healthy foods you eat to achieve this.

For the record, I am not adverse to all nutritional supplements. There are some fantastic multi-vitamin & mineral products, nutritional shakes, nutrition bars and a few other basic products on the market which can be helpful as supplements to a well rounded, whole food, nutrition program.

One website that can help you make better informed decisions about some of these helpful supplements is ConsumerLab.com.

Remember the old adage, “If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is.”, when you see or hear these crazy advertisements because in reality, all you are seeing is a modern day snake oil presentation.

Should Your Teenage Have A Cellular Phone?

Posted in Better Hardware by admin on the December 29th, 2008

The time has come and your teenager has asked for one but you’re not sure if you should supply one or not. No were not talking about a car. This is the digital age we mean the cellular phone. Perhaps no other decision has caused so much alarm and grief (aside from a credit card) then if you should give your teenage their own cellular phone. The cellular phone companies would advocate for allowing your teenage the use of a cell phone. And certainly there is merit to that suggestion. After all teenagers can use the cell phone in times of emergency such as breaking down on the side of the road or needing a ride home. Don’t forget that nearly half of today’s teenagers already have a cell phone. Leaving your teenager without one could affect their cool factor with their friends and other teenagers. There probably exist many other emergency situations in which your loved one would need a cell phone.

Unfortunately many teenagers seem to think there is always a crisis going on and ultimately end up using their cell phone for almost everything to include calling and text messaging their friends in no time flat. They may even call you every once in a while. This can result in their using all of the minutes allowed in the cheap, just for emergencies calling plan you selected before the month is halfway over.

For this reason many parents are advocate the use of prepaid cellular phones for teenagers. With a prepaid cell phone, the phone comes loaded with a set number of minutes when you buy it. You add more calling minutes as you need them. There’s no annual contract or monthly bills to worry about.

Phone features are something you should really look for when deciding on what prepaid cellular phone provider to use. Some of the free features you should look for include the following:

FREE Roaming
FREE Long Distance
FREE Voice Mail
FREE 3-Way Calling
FREE Call Forwarding

FREE Caller ID
FREE International Calling to over 50 countries
FREE Incoming Text Messaging
NO Activation Fee
NO Programming Fee
NO Monthly Bill
NO Credit Checks
NO CONTRACTS
NO TAXES

We hope this information has been helpful in your decision on whether or not to purchase a cell phone for your teenager. Now you only have to worry about the cellular phone accessories that they want to get for their new prepaid cellular phone.

How To Give Yourself And Family The Best Protection From Flu And Bird Flu

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the December 28th, 2008

The flu has been an irritant for some time. However, at one time it actually caused worldwide devastation, killing millions of people. Although this type of effect has not been felt from the flu for many years, with the onset of bird flu this is becoming a very real possibility. With this being a concern, people should arm themselves to the full extent to avoid this from occurring.

There are several common-sense precautionary measures that can be taken to protect yourself and your family against being infected by this potentially deadly virus.

The first is to avoid places where the bird flu virus already runs rampant. As of now, the bird flu outbreak is primarily in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Although it is expected to spread worldwide, you should not save it the trouble by traveling where you can become infected more easily. If you must travel to these areas, avoid poultry farms or other high risk areas. On the same note, try to avoid contact with sick people. Simply distancing yourself and your family from the disease can be one of the most effective preventive measures taken.

If you come in contact with sick people, or even as a general rule of thumb, wash your hands often, with antibacterial soap, and practice good hygiene in general. The regular flu virus is spread by saliva and mucus being transmitted to others. If someone coughs in your face, this may not be able to be avoided; however, if you touch something that is contaminated, you will just as likely become ill - unless you wash the virus away before it makes its way into your body.

Another precaution you should take in preventing the infection of bird flu is to properly handle and cook all poultry. While the jury seems to be out on whether or not there are cases of the flu due to undercooked poultry, reliable sources are reporting there have been. Even a suspicion should be enough to encourage certain precautions, not to mention proper handling is just a good practice. Likewise, properly clean all surfaces that have come in contact with raw meat and wash hands after handling.

Should you or a family member become ill, you should seek medical advice. There are medications that can be administered that lessen the impact of many flu strains, but they are only effective if given early in the disease. For this reason, treatment must be sought immediately.

Sony’s New Digital SLR: The Total Package?

Posted in University of Photography by admin on the December 27th, 2008

What do you do when you’re the latecomer to a very exclusive party?

You’ve got one of two options:

  • Dress up like everyone else and blend in with the crowd
  • Make a huge entrance wearing an outfit that’s louder than a Rolling Stones concert

Sony has chosen the latter when it comes to their new digital SLR camera.

The Feature Fight

A year ago, there were five dominant players in the digital SLR camera business: Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Konica Minolta.

Canon and Nikon duked it out for the attention and admiration of professional photographers, while Olympus, Pentax and Minolta preferred to target the consumer market.

With the megapixel race pretty much over, these three companies gained consumer attention with their own proprietary features.

Olympus developed the Supersonic Wave Filter, a device that “scrubs” the camera’s electronic sensor, removing tiny particles of dust.

Pentax made their cameras small and light, some of the most portable digital SLRs on the market.

Konica Minolta beat everyone else to the anti-shake arena, and made it an integral part of their cameras. The built-in anti-shake reduced camera vibrations for clearer hand-held shots, and it worked with every compatible Minolta lens.

But here’s the key: since all of these technologies were proprietary, there was no one SLR that had them all.

Until now.

The Sony DSLR-A100

Sony claims that their new digital SLR camera has all of these features and more.

It includes a dust-repellent sensor (like Olympus), built-in anti-shake (like Konica Minolta) and a compact frame that mimics the size of the Pentax digital SLRs.

Then Sony takes it one step further.

The A100 has one feature not available in any camera from Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax or Minolta. In fact, only two lesser-know cameras made by Fuji have something similar: extended dynamic range.

The human eye has exceptional dynamic range, and can perceive a lot of detail from shadow to light. Cameras can’t.

A digital SLR will either lose detail in the shadows and correctly expose highlights, or will blow out the highlights when exposure is set for the shadows. A camera with extended dynamic range is better equipped to capture detail from dark to light, even when there is a lot of contrast in the scene.

In addition to the extended dynamic range, the DSLR-A100 also has an autofocus feature which activates when you bring the camera up to your eye, 10.2 megapixels for huge 16×20 inch prints and all the other goodies you’d expect on a high-end digital SLR.

What the Future Holds

Only time will tell how well Sony competes with the established digital SLR companies. Even though Sony is late to the SLR party, they are prepared to make a big entrance.

If they continue to release feature-rich cameras like the DLSR-A100, Canon and Co. will have to watch their backs.

Your Digital Photo Printing Options

Posted in University of Photography by admin on the December 26th, 2008

These days, purchasing a dedicated digital photo printer for developing your digital photos may be a more costly and necessary route than selecting a reputable digital printing service. There are many services online that will print your digital photos. If you need results faster, almost every modern drugstore or photomat offers digital printing. Usually this is as simple as placing your digital cameras memory card in a machine and selecting which photos you want and any other options. Your images then print right before your eyes.

Digital photo prints usually cost the same or even less than traditional prints, but the savings go even deeper. One of the biggest advantages digital photography has over traditional photography is that you can choose to only print the images you want. Imagine the money you would have saved over your lifetime if you could pick and choose your film based prints. No more dozens of blurry throw away images, now digital photography technology has made it easy for you to simply submit the images you actually want, not the ones you dont.

The real question is one of quality. Luckily, the technologies that are involved are advancing rapidly. Todays digital prints are made to last decades without fading or discoloring. The lifetime of a professionally printed pictures is now equivalent to the lifetimes of film based pictures. This is another major advantage that professional digital printing has over do it yourself photo printers, they last longer. The prints that you make yourself with most consumer photo printers do not share the long lifespan of prints that have been made professionally. This is mostly due to the use of commercial grade archival paper and ink in the printing process.

Preparing your photos for printing is really easy. First, you can make any desired corrections to image quality with your favorite photo editing software. Then, you simply save your images (usually as .jpeg) and upload them over the internet to the photo printers website. If you are printing them locally, you would simply take your memory card with you and either place it into the self service machine or hand it to the clerk.

If you ordered your photos from an online photo printer, you can usually expect your images to arrive at your home in 2 to 5 days, depending on the service you choose and other variables. You will likely be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the images you receive. If you are using a relatively modern digital camera (with high enough resolution), the resulting images will be the same quality or better than if they were developed from film. Digital based photos at higher resolutions store more “information” (pixels) in the image than can fit into the fine grains of film. This extra data makes for finer, better prints.

As you can see, there are many cost effective options for digital photo developing. So, save your money on a photo printer and get those images ready to upload. Its fun, its easy, and the pictures will last a lifetime.

Used Laptop Computer: Your Quick Purchase Inspection Guide - Part 4

Posted in Better Hardware by admin on the December 25th, 2008

Used laptop computers are everywhere these days. How can you sift through the mass of available used laptop computers to narrow your search down to the right laptop for you? This fourth and final article strives to give you a few suggestions for your next laptop purchase.

Wireless Connectivity

Built-in wireless used to be a luxury. More and more now though, it really should be seen as a necessity. If the laptop you’re considering doesn’t have built-in wireless, you should at least have an external wireless card thrown in. Connecting to the internet and your local home network is something you’ll find yourself doing a lot of in the future. If you have a choice between 802.1b and 802.1g, make sure you choose the 802.1g as it has more range and greater speed.

USB Ports

How many USB ports come with the laptop? Older laptops may not have any. Some have only one. The more USB ports you can get, the more convenient it is. You should also ask if the laptop comes with USB 2.0 or the older original version 1.

Hard Drive: Choose a large one

In this day and age, anything less than 20GB is way too small. In fact, you should always choose a laptop with as large a hard drive as possible. Storage space fills up fast especially when you consider all the songs and movies people store on their laptops these days. Go as large as your budget allows.

User Computer Laptop Warranty

If you have followed my advice and are looking to buy from a reputable dealer, what kind of warranty do they offer? Don’t buy a used laptop from someone that offers you no warranty of any kind. At the very least, you want to get a 30 day warranty. The more the better. You never know if the hard drive is near failure or some other catastrophic problem in near. Reputable dealers offer warranties. Stay away from anyone that doesn’t offer one.

While I haven’t gone over every possible thing you need to look for when purchasing a laptop, I have covered the main things that should make sure you make a used computer laptop purchase you’re happy with.
